About Us
We, Tony and Sarah Buckingham, have owned Casa Joanna since 2003. It is a home where friends and family congregate from across the globe, Melbourne to San Fransisco.
Roman complements the team. He is the house manager, and lives locally with Michaela and Victoria. Roman is an experienced tour guide and chauffeur and he will assist you in your holiday requirements.
We offer chef service, bicycle hire, hairdresser, and are happy to arrange for special occassions (upon request). There is air-conditioning in all bedrooms, mosquito nets on all bedroom windows, fibre-optic broadband available, TV, washings machines, dishwashers, games, and books a plenty. Both kitchens are well-equipped. BBQ facilities are also available.
Located within the walls of Villa Valentina, Casa Joanna has it's own private garden and child friendly swimming pool (salt water), separate entrance and plentiful parking. There is spring water from the taps within the village.
​Vorno is famous for royal families of the past who designed and built their summer villas in this tranquil, temperate village just south of Lucca. Chosen for it's beauty, the views of the rolling Tuscan hills and the ever so slightly cooler temperatures in the summer, Vorno became the home of some of the most villas in Tuscany.
